VISION AND MISSION
Mission
We are a group of people who come together because of our commitment to Jesus, and His calling to be together for the sake of His mission.
The mission of IPFAC, both individually and corporately, is to reach the lost and teach the found (Matthew 28: 19-20); to spread and to be good news to people: bringing wholeness to every person, in every way, to every part of their lives. This mission underlies every activity in the church, and every outreach undertaken by the congregation outside the four walls.
Vision
God puts us into community, and invites us to join him at work and participate in His mission to the world (Exodus 3 : 2-7). Accordingly, the vision of Independent Pentecostal Fellowship Church is fleshed out by each person in the church, as we make our contribution to strengthen community and reach out beyond ourselves. Some of us will initiate new and exciting community projects or initiatives in diverse areas:
1. Christian Ministry:
Evangelism and Discipleship, Leadership Development, Church planting, Christian Literature Distribution, Crusades and Conferences.
2. Civic Awareness:
Education on Government systems and Human Rights, Anti Corruption Education, Volunteerism, Creation of community organizations, Voter Registration and Voter Education, Creation of community centers, Community and Neighborhood watch groups.
3. Life Enhancing:
Computer training, Tutoring, Vocational Training, Referral to ongoing training, Teacher training, Adult education, Values and literacy leadership education, Scholarship sourcing, community business education centers.
4. Economic Sufficiency:
Micro credit / Micro-finance, Vocational training, Table banking, savings groups and cooperatives, Small business training and development, Personal financial management, Accessing and networking with proven business experts, Job training and placement agency, Food bank and cooperatives.
5. Whole family:
Marriages encounter retreats, Parenting classes, Support groups, and Counseling therapy.
6. Environment and Community Health:
Planting trees, Health and environmental education, Community health worker training, Nutrition education, Recycling and composting, Clean water / water harvesting, Organic farming, HIV / AIDS education, Sex education, Short term medical teams, Micro credit / Micro-finance, Vocational training, Table banking, savings groups and cooperatives.
Other people will be part of church ministry teams that enable these projects to move from idea stage to reality. What is important and of much significance to us as a body is that we all play our part and the Kingdom grows.
